Text is sometimes deleted from the article during parsing, so that the version that ends up in Reader is missing content. I've experienced this repeatedly when the author includes the name of a fellow Substacker and makes the name into a link to that person's page, but I've also encountered it now with a completely plain sentence that has no links or unusual formatting. It just... went away in the Reader version.
